End Of Term Concerts - July 2011

Five end of term concerts were held during the second week in July when singers were asked to bring friends and family to support them. All the evening concerts and the morning one were very successful and thoroughly enjoyed by our friendly audiences. These were the first occasions when our latest song, "Where Do I Go From Here" originally sung by the Carpenters, was performed at some of the concerts, and which featured a soloist in the various choirs.

Mortimer Fun Day, Reading - 2 July 2011

Our Reading choir performed at Mortimer Fun Day at the beginning of July on a beautiful summer's day. We sang in the morning so we had a small audience but we were greatly appreciated by the people who were there. We had a little competition from the dog show which was going on in the background but it all added to the challenge of an outdoor booking! Thanks to the organisers for inviting us to sing on that day.

Shannon Court - 26 June 2011

Singers from the Remix Voices choirs in Godalming, Guildford and Woking, performed on the hottest day in the year so far in the lovely setting of Shannon Court Care Home. The occasion was their annual Garden Party and we entertained the audience from the shade of a gazebo with many of our favourite songs. All the singers thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and were pleased to contribute towards the success of the day. We would like to thank Shannon Court for inviting us to sing at their event.

Godalming Bandstand - 19 June 2011

We performed at Godalming Bandstand on Sunday, 19 June, as one of the Music in the Park events. About 100 singers crowded on to the Bandstand and entertained the audience, who braved the changeable weather, with a selection of our favourite songs, including the first performance of our very own song "A Hundred Voices".

This concert brought together singers from all the Surrey choirs in Godalming, Guildford and Woking.

St Andrew's Church, Woking - 9 December 2010

This was a Winter Song concert by Woking Remix Voices, with a few extra singers from the Guildford and Daytime Choirs. The evening had originally been scheduled for the 2 December, but heavy snow combined with icy roads meant postponing the event for a week. Remix Voices were joined by Choir Remix and a barbershop quartet, and wine and mince pies were provided in the interval. The event was in aid of Leukaemia/Lymphoma Society.

The Barn, Purley on Thames, Reading - 4 December 2010

This Winter Song concert featured the Reading Remix Voices Choir, along with Dave Smith performing some jazz guitar pieces. It was a very enjoyable evening, and included wine and mince pies in the interval, and there was a retiring collection in aid of Cancer Research UK.
