RECENT PERFORMANCES

"A Hundred Voices" Concert - Reading Concert Hall

This was our major concert of the year where the combined Remix Voices choirs from Reading and Surrey sang together in an exciting evening of modern popular music from the 1960's to the present day. The concert line up also included "Remixtures" vocal group, Choir Remix "A Cappella Singers" and Dave Smith, guitarist, who played some of his own compositions.

We were very pleased to support the Air Ambulance - Berks, Oxon, Bucks, at the concert and had a retiring collection for them which raised £621.

The concert was the highlight of the year for all the Remix Voices choirs and was enthusiastically received by a sell-out audience. The high spot of the evening was when 150 voices joined together to sing well known songs but, in particular a song called "A Hundred Voices" which was written especially for Remix Voices by Dave Smith, our musical director, and Sally Webster, one of our singers.

Remix Voices choirs do their own performances in each choir but also join together for concerts such as this one, giving the singers a feeling of belonging to one big choir. We look forward to the next joint venture.

Winter Song Concerts

Concerts were held on 7 December 2011 in Guildford, and 8 December 2011 in Woking.

The Guildford concert was held at The Salvation Army Hall in Guildford and raised money for the Salvation Army.

The Woking concert was held at St Andrew's Church in Woking and raised money for The White Lodge Centre, Chertsey.

Both concerts were very successful and thoroughly enjoyed by the large audiences and the choirs. A great start to the Christmas festivities.
